Mobility and 99 other exceptional companies
18.12.2025

An anthology takes a look at the 100 most exciting Swiss companies. The Mobility Cooperative also features in the report - with some surprising facts.
Mobility is much more than shared cars. That is why the portrait of the cooperative runs through the entire alphabet - to be found in the new book "The hundred most exciting Swiss companies", which has just been published. Various copywriters write about 100 brands on 504 pages: From major players such as Migros and Alstom to El Tony and the Aarau West veterinary clinic. Mobility is therefore in good company.
Editor Peter Röthlisberger continues his successful series with this book. After 100 stories about Arosa, Graubünden and Zurich, the Swiss companies now follow. This is not a ranking list, but rather a presentation of the country's economy with itsTraditional companies, global market leaders, start-ups and family businesses.
«Mobility moves people in the country in a way that nobody else does. A successful company with such a profile definitely belongs in our book.»Peter Röthlisberger, Editor
The Mobility Cooperative has a long history of almost 40 years and many exciting anecdotes to tell. But for the portrait in this book, the form of an interview or a dense text was deliberately avoided. Instead, it goes through the alphabet: A short story for each individual letter.
As with M for Mobility. The book reads:The name has long been a cult favourite. Today it is unthinkable that the cooperative was almost baptised Trafix."We decided in favour of Mobility Carsharing Switzerland in order to focus on broad and new mobility throughout Switzerland," says co-founder Conrad Wagner.
Contact with customers is still person-to-person. Up to ten employees deal with around 500 calls and online enquiries every day. Communication takes place in three national languages plus English.
Not much more will be revealed at this point. Anyone interested in the remaining letters and the other brands can order the book "The hundred most exciting Swiss companies" here: www.chefredaktion.ch
