You’ll find the right Mobility car in St. Moritz, Pontresina or Sils.

Through the Upper Engadin towards the Maloja Pass

Let’s go towards Maloja! Don’t get distracted while driving, as the view of the Upper Engadin lake landscape is spectacular – especially in autumn. So stop at one of the many places to take a look.

The next highlight awaits you immediately after Maloja: the Maloja Pass. It connects the Bergell with the Engadin and stands for a unique driving experience.

On a discovery tour with the intern

Have you ever heard of Bargaiot? Then you’ve probably never been to the Bergell. The intern will explain it to you! Find out in the video what else he experienced on his journey towards Chiavenna.

Graubünden Ferien and Mobility make mobility sustainable

Graubünden Ferien and Mobility are responding to the growing need for clean mobility during holidays. As a result, the “Graubünden sustainably mobile” project started. This aims to develop combined mobility between public transport and e-car sharing and establish it among holidaymakers and locals alike. The aim of this offer is to ensure that long distances (particularly the journey) are shifted to public transport and that only shorter distances are covered locally by car.

Up to the Albigna dam

Back to your personal tour of discovery. As you relax from the mountain pass road’s dozens of hairpin bends, another feature of the Bergell stands out: the imposing Albigna dam. Thanks to the cable car, you can climb the almost 1,000 metres in altitude in just a few minutes during the summer months.

If you’re after a short hike, we recommend a 45-minute walk to the SAC Albigna refuge (T2). The hut is usually open from mid-June to mid-October.

Chestnuts in Soglio

Soglio is one of the most famous villages in the Bergell. Situated on a sunny mountain terrace at an altitude of almost 1,100 metres, the old mountain village attracts visitors not only because of its old palaces, houses and stables. Soglio has an unusual flora that attracts many people, especially during the autumn months. Why? The chestnut groves below the village.

From the end of September, the villages of Soglio, Bondo and Castasegna are busy for almost a month. Guided tours, lectures, markets, tastings, educational trails: The Chestnut Festival has something for everyone. Find out here which activities are planned and where you are allowed to collect chestnuts yourself.

Ice cream in Chiavenna

Anyone who hasn’t yet been able to absorb enough Mediterranean flair in the south of the Bergell can do it like “the intern” and continue their journey to Chiavenna. Pizza and ice cream à la Italia are just a few minutes’ drive from the border. Enjoy!

Further excursion tips and up-to-date information for your excursion to the Bergell can be found on the official website. And if you’re already in the Bergell and are planning an excursion from there: There is also a Mobility station in Bregaglia.
