Treetop path, then on to Lake Cauma

Your first highlight awaits you in Laax. Flims and Laax are connected by an impressive treetop path. On the 1.5-kilometre trail, you will find numerous marble runs and other activities you can do with your kids.

Once you’ve taken a look at Lake Laax, grab the Mobility and head towards Flims. There is a visit to the “Lag la Cauma” (Rhaeto-Romanic). If need be, take time for a picnic. After all, the lake translates into German as “See der Mittagsruhe”. A popular excursion destination in fine weather. And rightly so, because it’s really the pearl of FlimsAs the Flims/Laax website says.

And if you’re wondering what the name of the other lake with the first letter C near Flims is: This is the Lake Cresta. Also worth a visit if you haven’t had enough of the glowing green and glowing blue lake spectacle.

Discover the Rhine Gorge

A round trip through Switzerland’s Grand Canyon is a must-see – including for the Swiss. By car, you can marvel at the 400-metre-deep and 13-kilometre-long sections from all angles. Tour tip from Flims Laax Falera; Via Ilanz or Sagogn (shortcut) to Valendas, Versam, Bonaduz, Tamins and back (40 km). Use the bays next to the road or the viewing platforms for a look into the depths.

Viamala and Roffla Gorge

Would you like to cool off a little more? Just under 20 minutes’ drive south awaits you with the Viamala Gorge another natural spectacle. The gorge is a worthwhile excursion destination, even in bad weather.

And if you want to discover uncharted territory away from the crowds, leave the A13 motorway at Rofla Avers-Juf. Here, the lonely but no less spectacular Roffla Gorge to you. You should also learn the story that led to the opening of the gorge.
