Learn the right way to adjust your car seat:
Before driving off, start by adjusting the seat squab and backrest. Try raising the seat as much as possible to improve your visibility, leaving a hand’s width gap between your head and the roof.
Sit with your back completely against the backrest and adjust the distance to the pedals so your legs are still slightly bent when you push the pedals all the way down.
Adjust the tilt of the backrest so you can reach the steering wheel with slightly bent arms without lifting your shoulders. The aim is to have the backrest as vertical as possible.
Adjust the angle of the seat squab so you can gently press the pedals and relax your thighs on the squab.
Once you’ve adjusted the length of the seat squab, there should be a gap of 2-3 finger widths between the back of your knees and the front edge of the seat.
Adjust the headrest so the top edge is level with your head. Your head should be very close to the headrest (no more than 3 cm away).
The side restraints should snuggle comfortably against your body without pinching.
Adjust the lumbar support to support your back in its natural shape.
