Your suggestion for a Mobility station

This page provides important information for individuals and companies who would like to suggest a location for a Mobility station.

Our main focus is on car parks because these provide the basis for every Mobility station. Do you have a perfect car park in mind that you would like to suggest as a Mobility station? The following summary sets out the criteria that have to be met for a car park to be suitable for use as a Mobility station. We also give you tips on how to make sure your Mobility station suggestion contains all the key information.

These are the requirements a car park must meet:

The following two criteria must be met for us to be able to assess your suggestion in more detail:

  • 24-hour accessibility: A Mobility station must be accessible on foot and by vehicle 24 hours a day. Access by means of an access system (e.g. long-term parking card for a garage etc.) is fine.
  • Minimum dimensions: The minimum dimensions per parking space must be met.

Does the car park meet both criteria? Find out more about the additional criteria and then submit your suggestion.

Do you have more information about your proposed Mobility station?

The following criteria are not mandatory. But they are points that will help us assess your suggestion more effectively. So do add information on one or more of the following points if you can:

  1. Reception: Our vehicles require reception (4G) on site. Our experts will carry out a detailed on-site assessment to check this. But feel free to try out for yourself whether you have reception on your mobile phone at the parking space.
  2. Proximity to a public transport stop: A nearby public transport stop improves the accessibility of a Mobility station. A distance of up to 500 metres is ideal.
  3. Location and visibility: In terms of the location of a car park, we distinguish between indoor car parks (e.g. underground car parks/multi-storey car parks) and outdoor car parks. The latter might be covered or uncovered. Outdoor car parks are particularly advantageous for us due to their visibility. If a Mobility vehicle is parked in a clearly visible car park, this gives us a presence in the street and the Mobility station is easier for users to find.
  4. Degree of electrification: If there’s a charge station in the car park or in a neighbouring car park, this provides a sound basis for a Mobility station with an electric vehicle.
  5. No obstacles: There should be no obstacles (walls, trees, benches, posts, etc.) in the immediate vicinity of the car park.
  6. No temporary closures: Recurring events at the site mean the car park would be temporarily inaccessible: this is a drawback for a Mobility station.
  7. Growth potential: If additional surrounding parking spaces can be added in the future, the Mobility station has the chance to grow.
