Mobility as part of your mobility concept

Whether it’s an apartment complex, cooperative or site development – Mobility complements your mobility concept with local shared mobility. Residents receive an alternative or supplement to their own car. Once you’ve registered, you’ll be able to access the nationwide Mobility network.

Taking mobility into account right from the start

Mobility is an important component of modern residential and site developments projects. Parking space requirements, accessibility, sustainability goals and the mobility needs of residents should therefore be incorporated into planning at an early stage.

Car sharing can help reduce the need for private vehicles and to effectively supplement existing mobility options such as public transport and bicycles. The sooner Mobility is involved in the planning, the better a location can be integrated into the mobility concept, parking space planning and – in the case of electric vehicles – the charging infrastructure.

Your benefits with Mobility:

  • Mobility right on your doorstep: Your residents will receive additional mobility services directly in the apartment complex or on the site.

  • Not a stand-alone solution: With their personal Mobility access, your residents not only have access to the vehicle locally, but also to the entire Mobility fleet in Switzerland.

  • Less dependent on own car: Car sharing supplements public transport, bicycles and other mobility options and can help reduce the need for private vehicles and parking spaces.

  • No private vehicle operation: Mobility looks after the operation, maintenance, cleaning, insurance and customer service of Mobility vehicles.

  • Added value for your property: A Mobility scheme enhances the mobility offer for existing and future residents and can boost the appeal of your property.

  • Use investments strategically: Parking spaces – especially in underground car parks – are costly and space-intensive. Car sharing can help reduce the long-term need for parking spaces and direct investments more strategically towards a wide range of mobility options.

A Mobility location for your property

Would you like to offer Mobility to your residents locally? We will examine the potential of your property and find a suitable location together. This determines how a Mobility location can be implemented.

Sufficient potential: Mobility operates the location

If demand is expected to be sufficiently high, Mobility will operate the location at its own expense. In this case, you will not incur any costs for the vehicle. We’ll provide the vehicle and rent the required parking space or agree its utilisation with you.

Placement-share as an alternative

If the potential for a self-sustaining business is not yet sufficient, a placement-share can still make the Mobility location possible. The owners, site developer or housing cooperative will look after the placement-share, thus enabling a Mobility offer that is not yet financially viable on its own.

In both cases, the vehicle becomes part of the regular Mobility fleet and is therefore available not only to your residents but to all Mobility users.

We have the best network: More than 3’200 cars at 1’650 locations throughout Switzerland – wherever your residents are.

What Mobility can offer:

  • Thorough assessment of potential and location: Mobility assesses the anticipated utilisation potential, checks the suitability of possible locations and advises you on how many vehicles will fit your anticipated needs. If demand develops, the location can be expanded with additional vehicles.

  • Experience in location planning: We incorporate our expertise in planning at an early stage – from the placement of vehicles to the requirements for parking spaces and accessibility.

  • Operation from a single source: Mobility looks after its vehicles, maintenance, cleaning, insurance and customer service.

  • A nationwide car sharing network: The location will become part of the existing Mobility fleet. Your residents not only use the vehicles on site, but also have access to the nationwide Mobility network through their personal Mobility access.

  • Well-connected: Mobility is networked with other players in the mobility industry and, if necessary, can establish contact with suitable partners – for example, for shared bicycles or public transport offers.

  • Support through to implementation: We support you from the initial potential assessment through to choosing the right model and implementing the location.

  • Support in promotion: We’ll help you make the Mobility offer known to your residents and promote utilisation of the new location.

Defining model

We’ll clarify how the location will be implemented together: at the expense of Mobility or – if the potential is not yet sufficient – with a placement-share.
