Sharing e-cars rather than owning them: This is how Zürcher Kantonalbank is planning to hit its CO2target, a 15% CO2reduction by 2022. And it’s heading there the fast way – with Mobility.

Zürcher Kantonalbank has opted for e-mobility and car sharing with Mobility. A logical choice. After all: by sharing, you can use resources more efficiently and protect the environment. The 350 employees of Zürcher Kantonalbank have already clocked up a total of some 60’000 Mobility kilometres on their e-tyres. One of them is Mathias Meier. He heads up the “Corporate Clients Switzerland” division, so he regularly makes use of the electrically powered fleet, conveniently reserving his vehicles via app. Has he ever had to be towed away because of a flat battery? And does a Mobility e-car always go down well with his customers? Take a look for yourself.

Zürcher Kantonalbank is currently using two Mobility services. Firstly, it rents four e-cars at one of its sites: these are available exclusively to its own employees as a company fleet. At a second location, it also benefits from Mobility Flex with availability guarantee. The offer: With this Business subscription, bank employees use two electric cars exclusively during business hours. Outside these predefined times, the vehicles are available at this station for all Mobility users.

“That’s what I call convenience,” says a delighted Marit Krufthoff, service contract specialist with Zürcher Kantonalbank. “We don’t have any additional costs – insurance, maintenance, parking, cleaning and roadside assistance are all included in the subscription,” she adds. By adopting a progressive approach towards its own mobility, the bank is also supporting Mobility’s primary goal – namely to drive forward the energy transition and electrify the entire Mobility fleet by 2030.
