Mobility launches e-car training sessions for users – with support from the community

08.04.2026 – The Mobility Cooperative is organising e-car training sessions for customers in major Swiss cities. In keeping with the theme “From the community for the community,” Mobility members act as coaches, accompanying interested parties on their first journeys and helping to reduce uncertainty.

Mobility wants to introduce electromobility to customers and overcome their reservations. This is because there are now more than 700 electric cars available to almost 300’000 users. That’s why Switzerland’s largest car sharing provider is launching a series of training events in Switzerland’s eight largest cities this month. More cities and municipalities will be added soon.

Practice with Mobility cars

The theme of the training sessions is: From the community for the community. Volunteer members who are already experienced in using electric cars will accompany less experienced users for 30 minutes in a one-on-one training session. This will involve basic knowledge such as removing the charging cable, starting the car as well as the driving behaviour of electric vehicles. “It often just helps to take a quick spin in an electric car to realise that basic handling is easier than you think,” says Dominik Moor, project manager at Mobility. The events will first take place at large Mobility locations with several electric vehicles. These will include VW ID.3, Renault Zoe and Skoda Enyaq models.

Events are to function separately in the future

Mobility will support the coaches with information materials and ensure that the electric cars are available at the location. One person from Mobility will be on site for the first training sessions, and later on it will be possible for these events to be carried out practically independently by members of the Cooperative. Mobility is confident that enough coaches can be found. Dominik Moor says: “Initial feedback shows us that there are many users who often drive electric cars and enjoy sharing their knowledge with other customers.”

Several coaches have already been found for the initial implementation. There is a strong readiness to help within the community. That’s why Mobility wants to create even more platforms this year to bring the Cooperative base together and get them involved – be it in finding a parking space, for promotional events or to support pilot projects.
