Vehicle manual – Renault Zoe
Instructions as PDF- Disconnect the charge cable
- Drive
If you haven’t already done so, log in at the checkpoint using your Mobility Card. To start the vehicle, depress the brake and press the start button.
Please note: if too much time elapses between your first log-in with the card and driving off, hold the Mobility Card up to the card reader again.
When “Ready” appears in the display, the vehicle is ready to drive (noiseless). Otherwise, repeat the process. The handbrake may have to be released.
Engage driving position “D” (normal forward gear) or “B” (forward gear with high recuperation when releasing the accelerator) or “R” (reverse) as required, while always keeping the brake depressed.
- On the road
The engine of an electric car is virtually silent. Up to 30 km/h, however, the vehicle generates a synthetic sound to alert pedestrians.
Eco Mode – Range
The ECO mode is a function that optimises the range of the vehicle. It affects certain on-board systems in the vehicle such as the air conditioning and power steering. An anticipatory driving style also increases the range.Driving position “B”
In driving position “B”, the motor braking effect is more marked. This helps to increase battery charging during deceleration (braking).Range according to the WLTP test cycle: 342 km
Range below normal driving behaviour: 260 kmPlease note: if the range is less than 20 km, the vehicle must be driven to a charge point immediately.
- After completing your journey
Park the vehicle forwards in the Mobility parking space – the charging socket is located at the front. Engage driving position N (neutral), pull up the handbrake and switch off the car. Open the charge flap. Proceed in the same way as in the section “Disconnect the charge cable” when taking over the vehicle.
Take the charging cable from the charge point and insert it into the vehicle. The charge process starts automatically, or if necessary you can activate the charge point using the “Home charging card”. Check this by looking at the “Z.E” symbol of the charging socket. It flashes blue if the car is being charged properly. Lock the car with the Mobility Card (hold card up to the checkpoint).
Charging en route
- Locations of Swisscharge rapid charge points
- On-the-go charging at a rapid charge point
Engage driving position P (park), pull the handbrake and switch off the car.
Open the charge flap.
Proceed in the same way as in the section “Disconnect the charge cable”. Remove the rubber caps from sockets “E” and “F” under the charge flap. Take the charging cable from the DC charging station and connect it to sockets “E” and “F”. Start the charging process using the charging card in the vehicle’s glove box. To do this, follow the instructions on the charge point display. If you have any problems, contact the number at the charging station.
Range after 20 minutes of rapid charging at maximum charging rate: ~ 80 km
Time required for 80% charge: ~ 50 minsThe vehicle has two sockets under the charge flap:
“E” = AC charge, e.g. at the Mobility location.
“F” = DC rapid charging. For rapid charging, sockets “E” and “F” are used in
combination.{ "_attributes": { "type": "text" } } - On-the-go charging – Type 2 AC charge point
Proceed as for charging at a rapid charge point. To charge at a Type 2 charge point, only flap “E” has to be removed. In some cases, the charge cables are permanently connected to the charge point; otherwise use the charging cable in the boot of the vehicle. Don’t forget to take it with you when you’ve finished.
Depending on the provider, the charging process is started automatically via an app or payment by credit card (the customer can bill Mobility if payment by credit card is required). The charging card in the glove compartment of the vehicle can also be used. If necessary, contact the charge point provider.
If the charge process has been started correctly, the “Z.E.” symbol flashes blue. Check this is the case.
Range after 20 minutes of Type 2 AC charging at maximum charging rate: ~ 35 km
Time required for 80% charge: ~ 1 hour ~ 50 mins - Additional charging cable
If there are no charging cables at a charge point, you’ll find one in the boot of the vehicle. This is compatible for charge points which have a “Type 2” plug (socket “E”). Don’t forget to put it back in the car boot after charging.
If the charge process has been started correctly, the “Z.E.” symbol flashes blue (2). Check this is the case.
