• How long does it take to activate your account?

  It’s super fast: Register online and pay the one-off registration fee – in the customer portal (my.mobility.ch) or in the Mobility app under “Customer account” – with your credit card or TWINT and verify your driving licence in the Mobility app.

  If you pay by bank transfer, your membership will be active two to three working days after receipt of payment.

  Once you have registered as a learner driver or accompanying person, it takes one day for the documents to be sent by email (invoice, welcome letter with Mobility number, password) and two to three working days before you can start as a learner driver. An additional check is required here (form for accompanying persons, which you will receive by email).

  It also takes two to three working days to activate the account with registrations for Mobility business use. If you would like to drive immediately, please call our 24-hour service centre at +41 848 824 812.

  Our accounts are personal and non-transferable.

• Under which conditions are Mobility users insured?

  Mobility users are basically covered comprehensively by third-party, passenger and damage insurance in the event of a claim.

  With our liability reduction, you can reduce your maximum policy deductible for each claim to a minimum. You can find all the information you need here.

  The liability reduction is automatically extended for a further three months or one year upon expiry.

• How do I reserve a vehicle?

  You can book vehicle categories, but not specific vehicle models and brands. Exception: The specific vehicle model is specified in the “Emotion” category. You can book vehicles in the “Emotion” category from the age of 25. This category cannot be booked for people under the age of 25 and learner drivers.

  Certain vehicles have electronic handbrakes that can be overridden by pressing the accelerator pedal again. These are not legally permitted for use by learner drivers. For this reason we provide the option of applying the search filter “suitable for learner drivers” when you are looking for a vehicle for your reservation.

• How do I open a Mobility vehicle?

  • with the Mobility app (activate Bluetooth)

  • with the Mobility Card (order in the customer portal if necessary)

  • with the SwissPass (link to Mobility in the customer portal if necessary)

  in the customer portal (my.mobility.ch) under > Profile > Access media.

• What do you need to bear in mind when using a vehicle?

  • All Mobility vehicles must be returned to the starting point (start of reservation).

  • Our accounts are personal and non-transferable. The person behind the wheel must be registered with Mobility.

  • Return the vehicle on time.Always allow enough reserve time and extend the reservation in good time if necessary. If this is not possible, contact the 24-hour service centre immediately at +41 848 824 812.

  • Before you drive off, you must check the vehicle for any damage. Existing or unregistered damage can be compared or reported quickly and conveniently in the Mobility app before starting the journey.

  • The fuel level/charge level must be more than one-third at the end of the reservation.

  • Electric vehicles with a charging station must always be connected to the charging point and the charging process started before the end of the reservation.

  You will be charged additional fees if you do not comply with the Fair Play rules.

• How are the costs for a Mobility journey calculated?

  The costs consist of a kilometre rate and an hourly rate. These rates vary depending on the vehicle category. With longer reservations, the day package automatically comes into effect.
