Film tip: About the love of hate for the car

Director Fabian Biasio is in a dilemma: As an urban cyclist, he notes a latent hatred for cars. He compensates for his vulnerability by giving a generous interpretation of traffic regulations. But as soon as he is at the wheel of a car himself, he becomes a car driver with heart and soul.

He wonders where this desire comes from and discovers previously hidden worlds: “Automania” deals with these worlds – on both sides of the windscreen. His internal conflict drives the director to search for strategies to make road use safer and more sustainable for all.
