Many strange things have been found in our cars - from a rifle to a snake - but a chickadee? That's never happened before. Our colleague Natalie from Mobility Customer Service was also perplexed when the customer told her about the stowaway on the phone. What had happened? And where did the animal come from? It was time to play detective.
The big happy ending
Natalie spoke to the local police in Vevey several times. "The officers assured me that the cat was fine and had been taken to an animal shelter for the time being." At the same time, she tried to contact the previous tenant of the vehicle. She was also surprised, but had an explanation ready: The day before, she had taken the Mobility car to a friend's farm where kittens were born three months ago. And one of them must have got into the vehicle unnoticed. "The customer could hardly believe that there was a pussycat on board the whole time during the return journey."
Finally, the well-deserved happy ending: The customer who had unknowingly stolen the pet from the yard reserved the Mobility car again, drove to the animal shelter and brought the Mobility pet - or Mobüsi - back to the yard. She is now considering taking the adventurous cat into her home as soon as it is big enough. We reckon A great idea!
Animals in the Mobility car
PS: If you want to transport animals in our cars, you are welcome to do so. We recommend that you use a pet crate or at least lay out a blanket for dogs. Every now and then there are complaints about animal hair on the seats, and that doesn't have to be the case. Also check our Rubirk Fairplay and fees.
